The Secondary School Certificate or SSC Or Secondary School Certificate is a mass examination applicable to 10th-class students of Bangladesh. The equivalent certificate issued for the students of the madrasa is called the entrance test. Those who pass this test are given a secondary school certificate and are given the opportunity to be admitted to class XI. This test is also known as a secondary test.

Secondary school certificate examinations are held simultaneously in Bangladesh under 11 education boards across the country. Candidates have to collect their admission form from the head of their respective institution at least three days before the commencement of the examination. Examinations are conducted at the designated examination centers as per the pre-announced schedule and activities. Separate answer sheets have to be used for creative and multiple-choice exams.

Candidates have to fill the circle by writing the roll number, registration number, subject code, etc. of the exam in the OMR form of their respective answer sheets. Since the OMR form is verified with the OMR machine, folding the answer sheet is prohibited. The examinee must sign the signature on every subject as this will ensure that the examinee has taken part in the examination.

Each examinee will be able to participate in the examination only on the subject or subjects mentioned in the registration form. Under no circumstances can you participate in an examination on a different subject, or if you do, it is considered void. Examiners may use the general scientific calculator required to test physics, mathematics, or similar subjects.

No one other than the secretary of the examination center is allowed to use the mobile phone in the examination center to prevent cheating on the examination. There is an opportunity to apply via SMS for re-examination within 10 days of the publication of SSC results.
